My 20 year old PPID gelding had a boil like spot on his muzzle last weekend which went down and seems to be healing well. Today he has one on the other side! Size of five pence piece circular and raised. Weird.
Lumps on muzzle? What could they be?

summer sore ie in this country bot fly larvae? they produce a circular raised pink area (photo would help though)

Thank you Ester. I have checked with a professional eco is also a friend and this seems most likely explanation. In ten years of owning this horse Id never seen or heard of habronema. Thank you.
