I'm so sorry if this is really boring and his been done a 100 times recently, and yes, I have done a search!!

Recently bought a new dressage saddle and had jumping saddle reflocked. Horse had developed small hard lumps under saddle especially on left hand side, but there are a few on the right too.

Saddles always slide to the right on this horse, so saddler flocked both saddles to prevent this.

Wondering if lumps are due to pressure from the saddle, and as I should think he has put more flocking in left hand side, then that would explain why more lumps on one side that the other.

I always wash or brush sweat off, horse and rugs are kept clean.

He has been fully clipped, but I left a saddle patch. Wondering whether it would help if I clipped that off. I use nuhmed half wool numnahs.

Have phoned saddler, waiting to be called back, but am impatient, hence post!

They don't disappear after riding, they are there all the time now. And they are under the saddle, where the panels would be, not along the spine.

They are firm with no scabs on, and don't appear to be particularly painful, although it's hard to tell because they're in a sensitive area where the horse would normally react a bit anyway.
