My boy had developed several lumps under his saddle area, not from pressure. Looks like a nodular skin disease. I wondered if anyone had experienced this and how i can get rid of them. They are dry hard lumps with full hair coverage. I did wonder if clipping his saddle patch off would help or make things worse. They don't seem tender but he is a complete hypochondriac with anything!

A friend's horse developed something similar after a weeks trekking in the summer, they think the sheepskin numnah made her sweaty and gave her acne type lumps. They aren't painful and my friend puts a warm flannel over them and then squeezes them like spots then washes with hibi scrub then puts sudocreme on - it seems to work for her!

I remember treating a horse at a riding school with witch hazel drops and it worked. It really does sound like warbles....google search this and see if you think that's what it is, if so witch hazel kills it. :)
