My new boy is a bit lumpy to say the least :(

The lumps are quite small and hard (oval shaped and the size of a finger nail), they're not sore or itchy at all. They look almost like fly bites but shouldn't they have gone down in the three weeks we've had him?

He was fed barley, chaff and sugarbeet in his old home alongside hay. He's now fed Alfa-A, Alfa-beet and high fibre cubes as well as hayledge so I don't think it's his food...

He gets thoroughly groomed, has had a medicated shampoo bath and his brushes, numnah etc have all been disinfected and he gets washed off if he gets sweaty.

He's also been wormed.

Any idea's on what this could be?

Sounds very much like a fungal infection - have the number of scabs invreased or grown bigger? Could be ringworm or rainscald. Wash with Nizeral - you can buy it from the chemist - dilute with warm water, lather up well and work well into coat. No need to rinse off. Repeat in a couple of days.

Hi, they've not grown or increased at all.

I'm 99% sure it's not rainscald or ringworm as I used to work at a vets and would be able to spot these.

The lumps are on his neck and along his ribcage. He has none anywhere else.
