I wonder if anyone can help......
I went to check on my horse at about 5:00pm yesterday evening. He had been brought in by a friend at about 3:30pm and she had fed him and taken off his over reach boots. He is a TB and is in a premier equine lightweight no fill rug and this is usually left on at night too. He is a very cold horse and will shiver at the sight of a cloud!
By the time I got to him at 5:00 pm he was covered in lumps, he had them on face, neck, legs, belly and flanks and was very warm. Fine in himself, tucking in to his hay. I took the rug off and left him naked and came back and checked him an hour later and the bumps had vanished from his face and most of his body. This morning they have all gone apart from his neck which is a bit bumpy.
I spoke to my friend who said he wasn't bumpy when she got him in, she would have noticed his face even if not his body, so between 4:00pm when she left and 5:00pm when I got there this reaction occurred. I have no idea what it could be as nothing has changed......... I wonder if it was a reaction to being to warm as it was very mild yesterday?
any ideas? Thanks in advance you lovely people.
