lumpy horse??

Ok so my mare has lumps on her face, and body this morning. Nothing has been changed Eg. diet. I was thinking they could be bites but they are in random clusters all over her. I also thought its a reaction from something but, have no idea what.

They are on her face, belly, bottom,and etween her back legs (this is the worse place). She seems ok in herself but not keen on me touching them.

I have got some pics but cant get them from phone to pc. So any ideas guys??

I have known a few horses (including my own!) get a very similar rash from the spring grass?

She last went out on sunday, so would it of not come up yesterday?

Sounds a bit like utacaria(sp) to me. My horse had it a few years ago when he was grazed in a particular field. It didn't come up straight away either.

The vet can generally treat with anti histameans.

My horse had a similar condition a few months ago, it turned out to be an allergic reaction to whatever his rugs had been washed in when I sent them away.
Vet had to give him a few antihistamine injections before I really saw any improvement.
Also echo what was said about the spring grass, apparently this is very common.
