Cow. Cow.

Lunging started well, then we had a communicaiton issue - apparently 'Trot on' translates as 'Canter as fast as you bl00dy well can on a circle'

. Ten minutes of it was more than enough

.

Riding. Tweny minutes. Started well. Then decided was not going to stand stil all all thank you very much

. Didn't rear or buck, but lived up to her name - my head was spinning at one point. Then started chucking her head up, which I'm putting down to her gum still being a bit sensitive, the bit feeling different now the wolf tooth has gone, or that fact that she has reverted back to being a cow.

All in all, it's been one of those days

o dear, chin up chick and hope for a better one tommorrow, my youngun had one of his now famous tantrums today (the first in aaaagggggggggeeeeeesssssss) but never to mind, it will all come together!
any revelations on the hocks?!

O dear!!

Well I suppose it was to be expected after her little break - think of all that lovely grass she has been stuffing down her neck apart from her fangs etc!!

The upside is that she may have got it out of her system so tomorrow she may be polishing her halo!!!

I assume you will be pursueing the whole lunge first ride after routine for a week or two to get her back into the habit of working and the spring out of her step!!

Ah. So looking forward to tomorrow then

If it's any consolation, my grey pony lunged like a dream tonight

Oh dear. Well, on the plus side, her dodgy bits can't be bothering her much if she's being such a prat!

(The spooy pony send his greetings, and advises the Dizzy one that rapid sideways teleportation is guaranteed to disconcert the rider!)

ah...aren't youngster's frustrating...i think they have memories like goldfish- you don't ride for a few days and its the end of the world when you come back to it...

Today has just been a cack day, and the Dizz far from making me feel okay about having neds just made me feel like I've wasted the last x months. In one of my more clear sighted days I'll know it's just that she's young and had a break, but it's just really been one of those blah days

To add to the fun, we're moving yards. We need six stables and we ony have three (we knew that when we moved on, but thought it worth a try; last week's horrible weather made us rethink!). Plus, due to the layout of the fields, we can only get the horses in/out at certain times and it's not easy to fit that into the rest of Life. I had a disagreement with the YO just to top it all off - I'm not used to arguing with people, not in this way, and it upset me (I cried for goodness sake! Turning into a pile of blubbering flamin' uselessness
blush.gif
). Anyhoo, it made the decision to move easier to make: YO is a very good instructor and Daughter has really enjoyed the lessons, that made it hard when we thought of moving to get more stables.

Have also decided that LL is to go out on loan. Daughter wants to concentrate on Little Cob - she has too many ponies to ride and not enough time. I've wanted someone to ride him, but haven't done anything about it, so that's next on the list to sort out.

Yup. Is definately one of those days

I have: The Dizzy One, Little Cob, and Little Lad.

Friend has: Big Cob, Little Lady, and Dinky Dot.

We come as a set. Love me love Friend and all her hairies (four legged and two legged) too lol

*Hugs* really hope tomorrow is a better day for you. Stick with it and you'll be rewarded. After 2 years of many downs with a few ups, my young horse is gradually improving (not suggesting yours will take that long!) and I'm beginning to see what might be in the future. Poor Dizzy was obviously enjoying her hols too much
smile.gif

Oh dear. never mind. She obviously is feeling better! Which is a GOOD thing!! Erm and she didn't put you on your bum which is a GOOD thing. Erm and she likes going in circles so might be a good barrel racing pony which is a GOOd thing.
I'm trying to cheer you up - is it working?
