Just a question as have seen a couple of people using these in various different settings.

I thought they clipped onto the d rings of the saddle so they mimic the riders hands but have seen them attached to the girth?

I am not planning on using one was just wondering how they are connected?

You can use them anywhere on the girth as long as level on both sides, attached to the girth between the forelegs or as you say to the D rings depends on the horse and the situation.
