Hi, just wondered what peoples opinions and experiences of the "Lungie bungie" training aid are? Some say really it is exactly the same as using correctly fitted side reins though guess the contact is more elastic (as the gadget has more elastic) and that it it gives a more even contact???

I have used a pessoa on my boy in the past but at the moment I need something that if he throws a hoon, will actually have an effect and encourage him to behave (a bit excitable as not lunged for sometime due to previous injury). He respects side reins and just wondered if I should consider the lungie bungie or is there nothing more to be gained??

Answers and opinions please! Thanks in advance

I occasionally use a lungie bungie but run it over her pole, though the bit rings then through between her legs... i dont use it too tightly and so just to suggest to her to work lower and over her back. Otherwise she just lunges with her nose in the air. I wouldnt ride in it as im not a big fan of gadgets, but think that it is a useful aid for lunging. I much prefer it to side reins as it is softer but dont have any personal experiences of pessoas so couldnt compare.

I use it the same way and for the same reason on my mare and it does make a difference! Her hint of overdeveloped muscle under her neck has gone and her whole shape is better.
