Has anyone used one of them and if so, are they any good.
Thanks
I have also put this in the tack room but there are different people in there, and as this is a competition room, there may be more people using them here.

I use them and like them, but only for encouraging stretching down, not really for encouraging an outline as they area bit elasticy for that.

Hi TripleSandH, I have been looking round for something that comes into play when horse puts head up. When I put martingale on or something similar, she goes long and low and doesnt use the aids. She goes in a lovely outline most of the time, and works from behind, but then she sees something across the field and is very nosey, this is when I would like some back up. So it wouldnt be for the outline as such, just to stop her nosing at the fairies.

ok.,. In that case I'm afraid I don't personally think it would work as it is very flexible and they have to be willing to listen to it!
IT is probably just a schooling thing, irritating I know...like the faeries! We have a goblin in our drive waiting to eat the horses...

I would agree that a lungie bungie will not stop your mare raising her head, when fitted it looks very like sidereins but is incredibly stretchy as made of elastic shock cord. Suspect it will be down to you, the rider, to regain her attention rather than depending upon a gadget.

It is infuriating when they stop concentrating and nosey around but guess they are animals with minds of their own and with a huge flight instinct which in the wild is their only chance of survival.
