My TB been in lunging work for about 10 days (vets orders), she has a sore back (muscular due to saddle) she has had approx 6 weeks off. We are waiting for our appointment with the physio week after next, she is 100% sound its just an area on her back that she is tender.
Previous to her back being sore she was in regular work mainly hacking/schooling and we where working on her jumping for some upcoming competitions.
Lunging is getting boring!! we tend to do walk, trot and in recent days a bit of canter on both reins equally for about 20 mins. She is much more settled now, at first she was bucking rearing and generally pratting about, but now shes much better.
So, i was thinking of introducing a few trotting poles along the long side just to do something a bit different, i am unable to free lunge her as YO does not allow it, any other suggestions?
Thanks :)

I use trotting poles down a long side like you are thinking. Sometimes I put 4 poles out in a circle - at 12, 3, 6 and 9. I also use raised trotting poles - hubby got me a load of potties from the pound shop and I use these to raise the poles - they're perfect for the job and way cheaper than pole pods :) - a top tip off another user on this forum.
