I'm not one for gizmos and gadets, i don't own a lunge cavesson (I know that's not a gadget but I don't own one), I can't keep my tack at my yard, as it's a farm in the middle of no-where so is likely to be hit by thieving g*ts at any given time, so during week after work in an attempt to get some weight off my girl I am trying to lunge at least 4 times, can't be bothered to take tack up with me so am currently lunging in her leather headcollar/lunge rein and lunge whip, I have no problem with her pulling etc as she is perfect on the lunge, always listens and goes up and down the gaits as I ask her, on the left rein she makes a lovely shape and works really nicely, on the right rein she kind of lunges in almost a square shape (if that makes sense) she doesn't bend around the circle, my instructor suggested lunging in a smaller circle which I am doing but she still seems to strugle to bend properly on that rein. Can anyone suggest any exercises I can do with her to get her bending, I was going to video her tonight but phone ran low on battery :(

Ask yourself if you can be bothered taking a breaking roller with you, then you can run the reins through the rib rings and encourage the horse to bend on the circle.

I'm afraid you will get no where if you can't be bothered to take a lunge roller with you. Use a lunge roller and either lunge with two lunge lines or clip the lunge rein to the lunge roller ring, feed through the bit ring (or head collar side ring) and Bob's your Uncle, horse will bend to the inside.
