Morning all. As my new horse has just been freezemarked, I have been lunging her whilst I cannot ride her. She is quite happy and willing to move and walks and trots on command - however her circles are not very circular! At some parts of the circle, she will pull against me, mostly so she can drift outwards and look at the trees at the edge of the school and in other parts she falls right in on the circle, so we end up with a sort of egg shape! The pulling against me part is not such a problem as I can usually get her attention back with my voice, but the falling in is more of an issue! I have tried using the lunging whip pointed towards her shoulder to keep her out, but she tends to just ignore this and I end up having to gather the line in or walk backwards very quickly so she doesn't stand on it!
Anyone any tips please?
