Lunging training aids

I know people don't like lunging but I am not allowed to free school where I keep my horse:-

Question is what training system do people use? Looking on line there are various ones from Pessoa to John Whitaker but can anyone advise what they find best?

Lunging is a very useful tool, sadly misused by a lot of people. I would advise you to run a million miles from any of the more complicated contraptions (anything involving pulleys, miles of string or attachments), particularly if you’re not experienced with lunging. It is perfectly possible to lunge with a head collar and a rope, although this will require a mannerly horse who knows what ir being asked of him.
