If that was the only hitch I’m back up there next weekBumping in the hope the post is seen by someone interested. Sadly I'm not in the position to take a dog at the moment (and nowhere near Essex!).

thank you for offering to be a doggy facilitator
She’s gone to Lea Valley rescue so at least is safe.
I don’t know them but I hope she gets a great home.If they're a nice sensible rescue I'm sure she'll find a good home in no time, she sounds like what everyone's looking for and rescues rarely seem to have.
Sorry I missed this Clodagh, I would have suggested trying southern lurcher rescue

Southern Lurcher Rescue does not exist any longer for rehoming. The remaining money was going to be used to help with vet fees from what I heard.
My rescue lurcher was not supposed to be cat friendly but she tried to catch my feral one day, big mistake. I would actually never recommend letting a cat do the talking and it was a big oops on my part but that cat was then forever safe. Other cats were still an issue.View attachment 109537I'd love another lurcher but would need to be cat friendly like my old girl was so might have to stick to the Labs for the forseeable.

We are the biggest group of facilitators I've ever come across.
Yes! Buy the pony!
But of course, I will bring you the new dog...
Clearly you need a third horse
I could go on
