Does anyone know of any puppies now born, or perhaps better still, any planned for matings? Obviously, the closer to Norfolk, the better, but I'm happy to travel. We're in no rush, and would rather wait for the right litter.

If anyone has the right stamp of bitch, and is planning to breed, but is unsure, then I'd be more than happy to contribute my thoughts, as to the ideal type of dog, if that was any help.

If anyone does know of any, we would be looking for a bitch, broken coated ideally, a puppy with a minimal amount of white coat, from parents which are under 26" at the shoulder, no older than 20 weeks and purpose bred, with a degree of knowledge from the breeder. I don't want much, do I?!!!

I see little point in buying a puppy that I don't want, just because it's a puppy. Whilst others have had success with dogs from rescue centres, I haven't the time to correct the mistakes of others. I'd rather make my own!

Now that May is at rest, the house seems horribly empty. Time to start planning, I think.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Alec.

Can't help but good luck with your search. I do totally understand what you say about not buying a puppy just because its a puppy. Whilst I was waiting for Evie's breeder to plan his next litter, a local breeder had a lovely l/c bitch pup for sale. My kids were desperate to have her, and I was tempted, but told myself I had waited so long for the right lines it was daft to just go for a cute pup. I don't regret it now I have madam , but it was quite hard to be strong willed at the time.
