I know that Andalusian and Lusitano horses can make fab dressage horses!
But can they turn their hoofs to show jumping too? I thought they might be similar to friesians (not saying friesians can't jump!) but because they're quite chunky they're often not good with the sharp turns and sometimes landing can put pressure on the hocks? A genuine question, please don't feel offended anybody!:o

I have a lusitano x tb as an eventer and he can certainly jump and really uses himself but he doesn't jump "properly" until the jumps get bigger. I am not sure how high he would go but as i have no intention of going higher than 1.10m he doesn't need to either! sorry - probably doesn't help you so much.....

My friend has a Lusitano who can jump but has It's very own way of doing so! I wouldnt personally have one for jumping, but then again looking at the whittakers that can certainly jump!

Iberians are athetic, hot blooded horses...so yes, they can definitely jump!
Most really enjoy it as it occupies their bright minds!

Mine is certainly by far the easiest horse i have had to jump. And she could certainly turn her hoof to anything. However, she was brought for dressage and as a pure SJ horse, i am sure she would be 'pipped' against the clock.

But if you wanted an allrounder, couldn't get better IMO but then i am heavily biased.
And remember there are many different types of Iberian horses, they are not all 'baroque' stallions (although, i do adore these).
