only thing i will suggest is if your horse is a coloured (with loads of white) do not buy a burgundy one. (or atleast wash them a few times first)
I got to a show and when we got indoors under florescent lighting he was pink. Thankfully the judge did see the funny side, i dont know who was more embarressed me or the horse.
they are fantastic bought some off ebay, a lady was doing them with extra peices coming further down hind legs and also with the belly guard,
I have the dress circle one which I have been very pleased with - now two years old and still like new - I bought a little bigger to give him something to grow into - he was 3 and is now 5.
There are also cheaper ones on ebay which I think are fine.
Wouldn't be without one now for the shows. Mine fits very well but I do put on a t/o rug on top - just an unlined one if warm for overnight to keep damp stains out and they also are good under a travel or stable rug.
If you speak to dress circle, they are very helpful, they asked what rug size he was now wearing - and well it fitted him and what sort he was, in my case a fairly chunky traditional.
Don't they get at all static when you pull them off (got a lovely static shock off my mares fly rug yesterday, poor girl, any ideas on how to discharge the static on rug removal ? LOL)
Lol I did this one night while taking off a football top-seen the whole purple light thing, & my hair looked like i had been electrocuted! lol really freaky i must say, but I was told that if you 'Redirect' the energy, i.e. touch something else like a wall or door handle, the electric passes through you and into the other object...although i would imagine it would be quite difficult to take off a top/rug with one hand on a wall
