Lycra hood...?waterproof??

Hi all.

I recently bought a 2nd hand lycra hood for my horsey.
She is clipped and i was wondering about turning her out in the hood..if it rains?
The hood isn't waterproof...i was just wondering if anyone else does? x

First of all search back through the posts to see the horrors and dangers of turning your horse out in a lyra hood. Secondly it would be like wearing a wet t-shirt in cold weather - don't do it.

no no no no no! They are not designed for turnout and are VERY dangerous!

If you want a hood to turnout in, buy a Snuggyhood. They are the only ones designed for it, and provided they are fitted correctly, safe to do so.

Ok, got that loud and clear! lol!

I did think it would get wet and cold but wasn't sure as I got it 2nd hand.
