For the first time since I've had the boy, I got down to the field this morning, he was lying down - and he let me lie down next to him rather than getting straight up !!! First he had his head up, but as I stroked him, he fell aslepp and laid flat out..we were like than for half an hour.

Feel fantastic now !! Will be on a high for the rest of the day, strange but true !!! Little things, eh :D :p

How sweet!! Your right it is the little things that show complete trust. At least you will be smiling all day now.

You're so right - the feeling of trust is just amazing. I love the fact that I can sit in the field watching the horses too, but this is the first time little man has done this. sm x

How lovely, a filly I bred fell asleep with her head in my lap. She had a dream and was galloping and whinneying in her sleep. It was so special (and absolutely hilarious) at the same time.

Just worked out bluetooth, here he is about to drop off :D

going, going....

I've not had the pleasure of lying next to him yet but I live in hope! x

In 5 years I've once seen Ron lying down, but he got up when he spotted me down the field! :( He lies down in the stable, but gets up when he hears you come onto the yard. He is the most settled horse I know, but he's a bit funny about things like that... he won't pee if there's a person around or if he's away from home, even if he's busting. So many times I've unloaded him from the trailer and he's gone two yards and had to stop for a pee on the concrete!!

I'm hoping I'll be able to do it again, with someone else to take the pics !! Fingers crossed, eh..... Badger is lovely and does look very comfy - how wide is his saddle ? :D

Thank you, my sister (_Gina_ on here) sneakily took the photo. Badger isn’t as wide as he looks in that photo and his saddle is just a Medium/Wide Albion K2. :D:D:D:D
