I have an otherwise healthy and active 21 year old ID/TB mare who has been treated with IV oxytetracycline for Lymes Disease. She showed no other clinical signs of the disease apart from lethargy and some behavioural changes (violent bucking). It's now two weeks since the treatment finished but she is still lethargic when ridden so I have turned her away for a couple of months. The vet's run a battery of tests for other problems - all negative. She's also had a saddle checked and her back done. Has anyone else experienced Lymes with their horse, were they lethargic and what was the recovery rate? Thank you in anticipation. Anita
