My horse suffered with lymphagitis in September and spent 10 days at the vets.
He's now off all treatment but still suffers with a fat leg which goes down with exercise.
Does anyone have any recommendations for alternative treatments to help keep the swelling down?
Currently looking at laser therapy.

I feed feedmark no fill supplement over winter which definitely helps. I am trying magnetic chaps for her during the day at the moment too but can't tell yet if they are helping.

Years ago I had a TB who suffered badly from lymphangitis, it was before all the fancy wraps and boots you can buy now so we just pressure bandaged her legs if she had to stay in and I fed lots of clever and nettles, fresh where possible.
The best solution was 24/7 turnout and a very low protein diet with plenty of hay.

Friend has had great success with Global Herbs lymph blend in just your situation. Fed it for a year after his acute episode, then gradually reduced it. For a few years he would need it for a month or two every now and again when he would go through occasional periods of getting filled legs. Don't think he's needed it for a couple of years now. The original epusode of lymphangitis was about six or seven years ago now, and he's never had a reoccurence. Magnetic boots also help if he has to be stabled for a long time for some reason.
