Hi so I had the vet out Friday for my horse as he had an abscess, all was going fine, in on box rest and was hoping he would be able to go out again from weds or Thursday. Got to yard this morning to find that my horse has had a bout of lymphangitis. He had it about 6 years ago and although the leg swells slightly when stabled, he was sound and quite happy. But .....because I've now got a horse with a very painful hind leg, of course he doesn't want to weight bear to allow me to poultice his front foot!!!! Vet has been and started on pain killers etc. Any ideas for getting the foot poulticed so at least I can get my boy walking out to reduce swelling??
