lymphangitis?!

My mare bubbles who is out on loan has lymphangitis poor girl vet has been and said that my loanee caught it early so not so bad but she can not stand properly and it is all in her back leg from her tits down. I know nothing about this at all will she make a full recovery??? I am so so worried going over on saturday as cant get over there any quicker my loanee is fab and will be looking after her so well but can not help it to worry

Yes, I'm sure she'll make a full recovery. It can look very dramatic and be rather painful, but a shot of anti-inflammatory and some bute usually sorts it. Bet she's right as rain in no time!
 
If it was caught quickly then she should make a full recovery - some horses do remain with a thickening of the affected leg and do have an increased chance of getting it again due to the damage caused to the lymphatic vessels.

My horse had it back end of November and has made a full recovery (ish) - his leg still fills overnight if not bandaged but have managed to wean the bute down to 1 sachet every 3rd day
 
As above - it often looks dramatic but recovers well.

My old girl (27) has had this a few times now. I think they do become prone to it, and she may be prone to "filled" legs, particularly in the affected leg.
