Have been recommend to go to lyneham Heath for xc schooling and having never been there before just wanted experiences on what the ground is like there. As obviously ground is very hard atm but do they fo anything to their ground or is it Likely to be rock hard if I went there xc schooling this weekend?

It was getting hard there when I went pre Badminton so suspect is hard there now. They do have some jumps with all weather surface take off and landings.

Thanks, decided to give it a miss as suspected it would be too hard there
Seeing as you have been, what is it like there? (Jump, combinations wise)

Agreed on the sweet shop! - proper playground, brilliant place for every level of horse and rider, and the place is immaculate. Highly recommend it! Some good pictures on their website and Facebook page, will give you an idea.

They do a lot of work to ensure good ground so it will be as good there as anywhere... And the only problem with it is that once you have schooled there everywhere else is disappointing :)

I love it there. Lots to pick from and they really do take care of it.

If you're worried about grounding drop them a call and they'll let you know how the going is

My best friend/trainer is based there - absolutely gorgeous place and so much to choose from on the course. They are careful about preserving the ground and grass cover but the owner is fab and will be honest with you about ground conditions. Also worth checking their facebook page. :)
