hey all so im back with More questions. lol.

i have my eye on a Jacket and if i win it what colours will go with it..
i dont fancy the baggy chino type look.. could i get away with a semi skinny fit jean type, they look like cord material but there just fitted..
yellow/cream shirt with what, red, pink or plain tie?
gloves Tan or darker brown?
cane, black or brown?
as for hats do you show a shetty in a Hunts hat? or do i have to get a Trilby, or what about a smaller Top hat type?
picks of my 2, the big is a Fell x sec d - 17yr old and teh little is my 10mnth mini shetty .
and the other pic is my jacket.

personally i think that jacket is far too bold for an m&m, i would go for a more traditional colour. However if you are going to stick with that jacket i would go for cream shirt and blue tie.

Trousers- I use boot leg cords and with that jacket i would go brown.

Brown gloves and cane and a plain flat cap

Also agree about the jacket, although it is lovely I don't think it's right for m&m. Lovely neddies though! :)

Thanks.. Ohhh well i will get the Jacket Anyhoo lol. ill show my dogs in it lol..

well still Having a Mooch about for Stuff... Going to go to the stallion show on next month and see what there all in...

Yes a bit bright, nice jacket though :)

Look on the breed society website gallery and see what others are wearing. how old is it your Shetland? I think it may lack some forelock but bu&&er if I know how to make that grow!

Happy showing, hopefully a nice dry summer to look forward to!

he is Only 9 or 10 month old... still a itty baby... lol. :P

and i agree i just love the Jkt... it will be good to show the dogs in, i dont mind standing out.. (shown at crufts with bright pink and Blue hair haha)

I'm afraid I am another who thinks the jacket would be wrong, you would stand out for the wrong reasons. On first look I thought people do wear that sort of thing but then realised that is in the LR, you might get away with it for that but not in hand. I am another that likes green but you could also go with brown or even blue in a small check or herringbone, the rest as above.

As both your ponies are dark you will need light trousers to differenciate all your legs! M&M's tend to be quietly plain and tidy colour wise. As for hat, it's always wise to have a hard hat on whatever you are handling, you can always cut off the straps. Dark brown gloves and brown cane look neatest IMO. I dislike black on ladies, too harsh.

Lovely horses....but can i just say your Fell x Sec D isnt eligible to enter M&M classes, as hes not a purebred M&M which is what the classes are for.

M&M classes have always been for registered purebred M&M's. Even the small shows where i live only allow purebreds & not partbreds in, though i guess it depends on how strict your shows are by you.

Oh right... no, i used to show in Blackpool in MnM and he did really well... he even qualified for PUK at one stage... TBH, id be happy to just plod with him in veteran, maybe put him in some jumping classes, Nothing serious with him its the little one i want to push..:)

Look up amateur showing society ..they have a winter champs in April ..no need to qualify ..lots to do (even m and m / bp classes ) fab rosettes !! And evening performance :D ( sparkles and navy for the evening)

Amateur showing championships U do need to come in top 3 at an affliated show (just gone through all this for our shows this season lol)

PUK have always had the rule that all horses competing in M&M are registered pure breeds with the relevant breed society, for any M&M class, whether it inhand, ridden or WHP.

Part breds should be shown plaited and pulled, or as a type (cob, for instance)

The second jacket is much nicer than the first :)
