The M25 can be a sod for traffic, as can be the M4 what way are you going to sandhurst (pm me if you want)

Just had a look not the usual route I have done but think we live in different areas, I would allow an extra hour personally as The M40 / M25 is the busyest (sp) part exc the bridge. Are you traveling in rush hour?

opps sorry just read you are leaving this afternoon, No worries about the lorry pollution thing its inside M25 I would def leave an hour early cause its a friday. have fun

Hope to leave at !pm and it says 2 hours ,in our box allow an extra hour.Tried another route which brings me off M40 earlier onto A404, M4,A329,A321.
Anyone know that route and if it a pain

I do the M25 every day from the M1 to the M4 which covers part of your route. Mid afternoon is normally not too bad from the M40 as far as the M4 but it can get bad beyond there. Remember it is a) Friday and b) a bank holiday weekend. The traffic builds up much earlier on a friday and can start getting bad from lunchtime, a bank holiday weekend will make this worse. In respect of emmissions, you only enter the restricted zone if you head inside the M25. If you can avoid the M25 I would recommend it.

Have used you other route avoiding the M25 when on the way back from Southampton office, mainly dual carriageway, not done it in the lorry but I seem to remember that it is not a bad route.

Log onto the transport for london web site and it will tell you which areas cover the emmissions tax thingy!!
