After my hooha with the previous saddler I've been considering made to measure...

The brands I've been offered are Sturgess, Liberty (former Sue Carson staff, similar saddles but of course for copyright reasons slightly different) and Black Country.

I think that if I was going to the expense of a new saddle, I would actually buy a well known brand like an Albion, because these days their new one's come with adjustable trees, it means if you change the horse you can have the width fitting changed to suit a new horse. The size of the seat of the saddle and flaps will already suit you. BUT if you needed to sell the saddle, being a big name like Albion will make it saleable. Some of the more obscure M2M saddles have very low re-sale values because no-one has heard of them, and their width fittings may be hard to match to the average horse.
