Driving down the M6 near junction 21 on Sunday (after being stuck in traffic) to drive past a 4x4 facing the wrong direction, with a trailer behind it on its side.
Have not been able to stop worrying about what had happened but coulnt find out if everyone was ok.
Does anyone know anything? Pray that if there was a horse in the back that it is ok.

I seen this too and have been wondering what happened to the horse. From what I could see there was no horse in there but there was a travel rug placed over the back doors which makes me think it wasn't an empty trailer to begin with.

Thank you so much for worrying,we were travelling back from a horse weekend with two horses. They survived the ordeal, my friends horse is in the capable hands of Leahurst Vet hospital and mine remarkably has minor cuts and bruises after being trapped underneath the partitions etc.
If anyone reading this knows of anyone who helped at the time I would really like to thank them in person.People who stopped and helped were amazing.

:D OMG so glad every one is ok

This is like reliving my accident from buying my mare from wales.
Trailer over turned roof came off we were facing up wrong way up motorway, mare escaped minor scrapes she was un broken in the driver side partition 14.2 at the time . God knows how she got out as her side was closest to the road. She was trying to jump central reservation .

You were lucky no injuries, someone up there is looking out for you , What caused the accident

Saw this too.
When we drove past, there was one horse walking down the central reservation (appeared unharmed), and one lying down still not moving inside the horse box.
Daughter was very upset at seeing the one inside the box.
Would really appreciate any information about this incident, and hoping both are ok.

How horrible. The same thing happened to my sister and her friend a few years ago on the M1. Remarkably in that case too both horses escaped unscathed (bar the odd cut). This is one of the reason i won't travel a horse in a trailer - these accidents seem to happen far to regularly for my liking! Very glad to hear the horses and people involved on this occasion were ok.
