Well today was the day, and yes it was still there because I asked for the saddle to be put aside :D

When I got to the saddlers, the chap had a good look at my girly, and decreed that she wasn't going to be the easiest to fit, as she was in his opinion short in the rib cage, with sharks fin withers. So I was a bit worried that the wonderful saddle that I had seen 3 weeks previous wouldn't fit.

You can imagine our surprise that the saddle I had picked fitted like a glove! A slight tweak to the flocking at the back and my giraffe TB actually offered an outline... I was over the moon. Not only that but she felt all swingy.:D

So here is my new pride and joy, my saddle that cost more than my horse did.

The saddler was most complementary, and said I had a good eye for a saddle  mmm, well that is debateable since madams old saddle was a wintec!

Gorgeous saddle!!!!! I too have a hard to fit tb

It is so hard isn't it. I went for a cut back head in the end, just so that we got the wither clearence. We discovered that my mare (and me) have expensive tastes, as the only one suitable was a kieffer. Thank god that I have an nose for a bargin as I found this one on sale for about a 3rd of the RRP. :D :D
