And decided he is not the horse for me.

I took him out today and he reared for the first time and nearly bucked me off a couple of times. I don't know I sat to it. He is getting worse instead of better. It was a month ago since he was out competing and he acted as if he never been out competing before. I thought this is supposed to be fun not what I am going through at the moment.

I am so fed up with taking two steps forwards and five steps back. He does have an attitude problem and is hard work. For the last year my aunt has being saying you need to get rid of him he is not the horse for you. She admitted today that my DI felt this too but knew I would be upset if she told me.

Since his last break I have not enjoyed him one bit and horses are supposed to be enjoyable. I am that thran I have presevered with him the last number years but today was the final straw that broke the camels back.

Rant over just have to look how I go about selling him.

It sounds like you are making the right decision. I too have done the same and sold my last horse as she wasnt for me and I wasnt enjoying her, so I know exactly how you feel.

I wish you luck selling your horse and finding a more suitable partner. xx

Its not easy, and it sounds like you have really tried, but sometimes a horse and rider are not compatible and they are very expensive if you are getting no enjoyment at all. Sometimes you just have to start afresh, I hope you find the right horse for you soon, and the right home for your current horsey

Agree with SP. It sounds as if you have been through a tough time with your horse and are not suited. I know exactly how you feel. Im going through the same at the moment. My horse is very sensitive to his riders mood, really needs the confidence from his rider, mainly with mounting and leaving the yard. Despite having lots of help and encouragement from some fab fellow liveries, we arejust not suited atall and unfortunatley as much as I love the horse he has been up for sale for about 8 weeks now. Not had very much serious interest but honestly, I have seen some fab ponies and horses who are not selling at the moment due to the climate and with winter we are expecting. I dont really have any advice but really hope you find a good home for your boy soon and you find the right horse for you x
