Made my eyes water!!!

Mangobiscuit and I went onto Epsom Downs yesterday afternoon - both had stonking hangovers (it was her birthday yesterday) and thought it would be a good idea.

It was Ty's first adventure up there (since we've been at the new yard) and for some reason MB's boy and mine wind each other up into a right state.

So we got to the flat gallop and OMG - didn't they go. Ty was flat out (been a long time since he's gone that fast) and F kept up pace for pace - bloody quick the pair of them!!!

Ty jogged home complete with arched 'stallion' neck and I had a very sore bottom!!!!!!

Got rid of the hangover though - and what great weather for it!!!

Nothing like a good blast to clear a hangover and lift the spirits. Fast is good....flat out is another dimension!

That sounds fun! I live in epsom and would love to box the boys up there but I'm always being told conflicting information about where you are allowed to ride. I hacked my sister's event pony over to oxshott woods yesterday and I have no idea how she holds him xc, he took off so fast down the sand gallops there were tears streaming down my face

You're not really allowed on the grass next to the gallops - apparently the park warden told my friend that the next person who is seen will be prosecuted!

There are lots of other places to go up there - there is one uphill gallop but Ty get's a bit worried about going between the two white fences - wimp! x

I once went on the gallops on Lambourn Down, it was a blast. Sounds like you had a good time!
