Made the decision

One more sleep, good luck!!! Feels like christmas!!! (I'm still 5 years old at heart!!!!:D:D)

Mine didn't like cows, theres a dairy farm at the top of the lane we have to pass, so really needed him to get over it:). So asked very nice farmer :D if he could put his cows on his dive (they walk down it to be milked) so he could see them close up.
I was more nevous than him ,when he could get up close and touch noise's with a brave cow, he just relaxed and that was it!!! :o
No problems passing cows now, just there 30 dogs they've got behind a high wall that bark like mad when they hear anything!! He's ok with dog's if he can see them.

wooooooo exciting - Benson21 dont not start finding silly things wrong or we shall all be cross! he he x[/QUOTE]

O please dont say that! Thats another big worry of mine, everyone has been so helpful and supportive, and wetting themselves with excitment! And if either me or my husband feel he is not right for us, I feel we will be dissapointing everyone. I know I am being silly, but I sit at home all day on my own, maybe thinking too much!

Im sure the cow issue can be sorted! just need to learn they are not scary creatures that eat horses and what could be better than living on a dairy farm to teach them!

Most definatly......

I reall feel for you mate but you need to take the pressure off yourself.
You have had a lot happen lately and are probably over anylising (sp!) things more than if they hadn't.
Nobody is judging you and you have to be 100% sure that you are doing what is right for you.
He will find a fab home wether you buy him or not as hes that sort but if he isn't for you then wait till you find the one that is. :)

Thank you, I needed to hear that! I know what I am like, because on paper i, and everyone else seems to think he is right for us, I am scared I am going to rush it like I did with Charlie, and look where thats got me!

Yey only one more sleep to go :-) have still got everything possible crossed for you!
Dont worry about anything, just relax and enjoy going to meet him.

Cant wait to hear how you get on! The other half is gonna have to drag me away from the computer on friday night i think!!! GOOD LUCK :-D

Just wanted to give those who dont know an update.
I had a text from the owner of Winston yesterday morning to say she had someone there with the asking price for winston. She put him off until friday night after we would be seeing winston, but would need to know by 9pm on friday if we definately wanted him. After all the problems we had with Charlie, we knew we wanted time to think about it and also get a 5 stage vetting, so explained we wouldnt be able to give a definate answer. After speaking to the owner last night, I also discovered Winston is very very wide across his back, which is something I may not be able to cope with with my injuries.
Winston enjoys hacking and driving, I knew I would never hack again and probably wont drive, never really thought about it, and the other person was going to be taking him to a driving stables, where we would mainly be schooling with him.
So, although I am desperate for a new horse and winston looks lovely, we have decided it would be best and winston would be happier in a driving home, so he is going there. I want to say thank you for all of your support, excitement, hope not too many of you have 'leaked a ittle bit of wee', and our search is still on.
We have one that we have heard of that is possibly going on loan locally, and should here more over the weekend, but after that if that doesnt come through, we shall be trawling the horse ads again!!!!

Chin up! these things have a way of sorting themselves out - for all the right reasons - I am a great believer in fate, the right horse IS out there for you and with most of the H and H forum looking for you(me included lol) the perfect match will be found:D

Don't give up and keep us all updated, good news will be just around the corner, when you least expect it xx

ohhhh was getting all excited then

Hes lovely jealous of his new owner would love another horse like that, I like to take a short nap on a hack.

Well OP if you want something challenging, I have a WB who will not stay at the back lol

Hey guys. Hes going to Sark to be a taxi horse which I know he will love. Hes definately better in harness. Im really glad me and Benson chatted about it. We all got really excited but when we really got nitty gritty about Winston the more he showed not to be so suited to Benson21.

So I might be on the search as well now. I have only just got my confidence back so a WB might just be too much. I will prob look into a welsh section D because they always keep you one your toes, plus I can still break one to harness. So can keep driving.
