Does anyone know where I can see photos of maesmynach majestic? I recently bought a youngster direct from the maesmynach stud and majestic is his sire but would like to see what he looks like as they no longer have him. Thanks
I went to go and have a look at the stud as I'm interested in getting a youngster from them- they have Majestic back- they sold him and Eric bought him back for Nicola's wedding present (my future youngster will be my wedding present, hence why we got on the subject!). I don't think I took any pics of him, he is lovely though! what are your youngsters like that are by him as the one I liked was also by him?
Hi all, I wonder if I can be really cheeky and ask what kind of prices they ask for ready to break/recently backed youngsters (aged 3/4)? I'm interested in buying one next year but don't want to get into the awkward situation of asking then having to retreat embarrassed by my too small budget and having wasted their time. Feel free to pm me if you prefer.
Hi, When I went I the summer, they varied a lot in price, anything from around £500 for a just weaned foal which they didn't think would do well I the show ring, up to a few thousand for a nice how quality D around 3 or 4 years old (so handled a lot, and maybe backed/broken) that had good breeding- she did say that there were a couple of older fillies that she wouldn't sell as she wanted to keep their breeding lines at the stud for one reason or another (i.e. like the dam cant be bred from anymore). It depends what you are looking for- if you want a show quality D, then you'd be looking at more than one that might not do as well in the show-ring, but would be a nice allrounder/competition D. Give them a call o discuss, they are lovely- I think they have got a few adverts on adhorse at the mo too, but you really are best speaking to them- no harm in asking the question
Hope that makes sense
I also realised I was thinking of Maesmynach Enchanter, not Majestic as I thought in my earlier post
H
I went with a friend years ago to the stud, she had been under bidder on a Maesmynach foal at the Builth Wells autumn sale and wanted to see more youngsters.
They are lovely people. We had a good look round and were welcomed to the family meal, even though my friend didn't end up buying anything from them.
Just seen this post. I have two Maesmynach mares. My 9 year old is by Majestic. She is fabulous, jumps like a stag and we event. I remember seeing a picture somewhere and I think the stallion was a small liver chestnut or it could have been black
