I currently have my arthritic horse on Progressive Earth's herbs4mobility which contains devils claw, celery seed, meadowsweet, cleavers and nettle. I also feed him cinnamon as vet thinks he could have EMS but we haven't tested him yet.
I was thinking of adding turmeric as I've heard this is very good for arthritic horses but not sure if adding too many different herbs/spices will be counter-productive?
I was also thinking of swapping the cinnamon for mag ox as I've been told this is good for cresty necks and fat deposits. Mag ox is also used as a calmer and, as said horse is extremely laid back at the best of times, I'm not sure how that would affect him? Mag Ox or cinnamon?
Any thoughts?
