just wondering if any of you have used it and if its had any effect on your horses?
bought some today to try on alfie as hes a bit stressed after moving yards but the facilities are 100% better at the new yard and now the kids are back at school i've a lot more time to spend schooling him.

no its deffinatley magcalm not sure if its by feedmark its at yard but will cheak tommorrow.
its mainly magnesium based and made for geldings that are a bit highly strung.

If it is pure magnesium, then I have to say that it is very very very rare for a horse in the UK to be magnesium deficient! The use of magnesium as a calmer originates in New Zealand, where they DO have a problem! The only horses in the UK who would benefit from a magnesium supplement are racehorses and the like, because of their low fibre high cereal feed regime, they are sometimes low on magnesium. All the hype surrounding magnesium based calmers is just that - hype!

not really sure what i'm expecting a powder to do to him actually its not pure magnesium there are some other things in there. because hes so big and has some time off due to my broken rib, going on holiday and him moving yards, i wanted something to take the edge off him so we can get him fit without him blowing his top.
if any of you know of something that will help him please pm me as theres so many different supplements out there i really have no idea where to start.

It may well be hype, but my horses can't read the advertising and it works for them, to the extent that I bulk buy Magic calmer as I wouldn't care to run out of it.

I found NAF Magic did take the edge off my TB last winter. She's been off it over the summer & is back to her old self so as soon as I start feeding again next week she'll be back on it!
