I put my new mare on magic calmer and although she is alot better I don't know if she is just getting better anyway. I took her out today and she was horse possessed again for some unknown reason, so Im doubting the calmer. Its v. expensive and even at one scoop a day its not lasting long.

I'm having the same issue!! As well as many others... My post lower down in this room.

How long has your mare been on this calmer? I'm starting to look into what else I can give mine to calm her, but like you said they are so expensive and if they dont work feels like your just throwing money away!

we use Protexin, really helpful people, products have worked for us & work out cheaper than most others

I asked the feed merchant and reckoned that it was better than the chaff mix type ones as more concentrated , so now Im confused.!

If the fizzyness is due to the rapid grass growth then try the mix below, feed daily preferably in a small feed an hour before riding

1 level Tablespoon each of
Epsom Salts
Baking Soda
Yeast
Dried Thyme
