Hello..just wondering if any of you have used Magic Cushion with hemp as the dressing to go with hospital plates on a horse with a prolapsed solar corium.

What amount would I need to buy (saw the price and silly to missjudge & get the wrong one) and how long does it last/how many applications per tub approx? How long do you need to use it for & how often to change the dressings via the screw off hospital plates. Been told to get some hoof compression compounnd to seal at the heels and edges. Would be grateful for any pics advice etc and tips and whats the difference in Magic Cushion/Magic Cushion X (Extreme) will it last longer for the extra money? or what alternative options are onn the market.

Also can anyone advise me on hospital plates - best type to have etc. Mare is a non ridden broodmare, currently in /in rubber menage but booted/inner tubed to go out as the gateway is about 6inch deep mud puree.

Thank you for any help or product advice anyone can offer - shod or BFT ofcourse!:D

I know KatB on here has used magic cushion, so maybe PM her?

I was under the impression that it works by stimulating the sole though, so wonder if that's ideal for a horse with a hole in the sole? Don't know for sure, so maybe run it past the vet?
