We have 12 hours reprieve - could all your vibes and prayers be working?

Lisa vet just phoned me and is not happy to PTS tonight. Magic screamed for his supper and was seen to be putting a little weight on the foot. Also, the blocked drain is slightly seeping.

She told me that he is only 1% better, and not suffering, but that could be the bute he had 36 hours ago. She is still sure he will be pts tomorrow, and her 'vet head' keeps nagging at her to pts, but human head won tonight.

Please, please, keep 'em coming xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sounds like a survivor...crossing everything for you.
One of mine had colic surgery a couple of months ago...things were looking bleak at the time...but she is now broncing round the field as one of life's survivors.
Lets hope Magic is too.
Good luck

I'm still sending prayers for him.

1% better is more than she expected so while he isn't suffering I'm glad you're giving him time & treatment.

Hugs to you Helen, take care of yourself.

Oh Helen, that is such good news! I've been on and off all day checking for updates and have just logged on again, dreading what you may have posted. He really is a little fighter isn't he. Let's all just hope and pray that he continues to do so tonight.
It must be so difficult for you to try and not build your hopes up, but at the same time to not be pessimistic.
I hope you're coping ok.
Thinking of you all again tonight.
Sleep well.

Please get better, fight on, Magic.
To lose you now would be so tragic.
The world needs you.

Please God, if listening, wait a while,
And make a lot of people smile.
A pony's life, we ask of You.

Thank you Lou x It is very difficult and I think its nervous energy keeping us going.

Its so very odd, I am sitting here on the forum as I feel it brings the caring world closer to Magic and me and the people who worry for him. This feels the safest place, if that makes sense? If he makes it (God willing) then I propose to make him the forum mascot

What do you all think?

Thank you Ken - the poem brought tears to my eyes.
Ken knows little Magic and is very new to the forum and has helped with all the mucking out etc today. Hes a star.

Thanks everyone. I will get round to pm'ing you all personally with the best news when it comes.

10 more hours and counting. We are all drinking in your vibes xx

Yes, that makes perfect sense. It is often easier to talk to people you don't know, and yet we are all willing him on sooooooo much.

And yes, deffinately the forum mascot!! He would deserve it.

I am rather angry as the vet pressure being put on you 'on welfare grounds'. If he is eating , happy and improving then where are they coming from???? Heavens you are upset enough without this. We are all behind you - you will know when it is right and the quality of his life is severely compromised now or in the future. YOU make the judgment - YOu are the owner/client ! Good luck
