magic lumps and bumps ? ? ? ? : (

My 15.3 hh irish cob called guinness has magically gained some unwanted friends (lumps and bumps all over her body). ?? at first these lumps were the odd one or two when the weather started to warm up, so i asumed ply bites because she suffers from sweet itch. so i put on sum fly spray clean up the lumps and put her out again, but more n more bumps appeared ?? the other day i rode her and untacked, a placed her sweat rug on her. to turn around to see hundreds of lumps and bumps magically appears ???? i have'nt chaged her feed or sprayed her with any thing ?? any one no what it could be ???

urticaria -nettle rash or some kind feed allergy maybe ,have you changed her feed recently?

allergy to something in the field, the stable or in feed.
if they are a contact allergy they will come up in a specific area, a general reaction to something environmental or in feed will result in lumps all over. Keep your horse cool to minimise discomfort and hose off with plain water to cool the lumps and reduce itching -don't be tempted to use a body wash(esp not menthol)
