It is magnesium. If your horse is getting adequate magnesium from other sources (grass/hay/feed) then giving it will make no difference. For ours we found that there might be a local deficiency as it does seem to have an effect, so trial and error is probably the only way to tell.

It made no difference to my friend's mare, and i've heard a lot of similar opinions. Echo above - only works if he has a magnesium deficiency. It's worth trying for a couple of months.

We used it for my daughter's pony for pre competition nerves, he used to pick up if she was nervous and would behave badly, almost like he was ready to run if this awful thing she was worrying about happened. She qualified for the brc national championships at Lincoln and we gave it to him for 3 days prior to the competition (and she had Kalms). We had to build up to the correct amount as he knew it was in his feed and wasn't keen. Would definitely use it again though.

We use it on our Dales pony who is slightly neurotic about things wiggling in the wind and a tree near our arena and it has worked wonders for him. When we ran out once he went nuts again and spooked like crazy and then chilled out when we put him back on it, so definaely thinks it works for him.
