Went to the sales today and got a brand new equilibrium magnetic back pad really cheap.

Although I know what it does, when do I use it and for how long?
 
I have one for Leo and it's made a huge difference :)

When he is in at night he wears it under his stable rug. When out 24/7 I bring them in to chill for a bit in the afternoon and he wears it then. He is much more relaxed in his work when he has been wearing it - it has really helped him to stretch out and work long and low.

Remember that they are not recommended for use when the horse is turned out.

I would say, start off with an hour or so and build up gradually. Good luck!
 
I just put it on him as a tester and he fell asleep so I'm guessing that's a good sign!

He's still in at night so I'll start putting it on at night.
Just a question do you find the front strap slips down a lot? I'm worried about doing it any tighter as I think it will be too tight but it does slip. Could be because he is funny shaped. :)
 
Yep, that sounds as if it is working for him.

I leave the front strap looseish... the pad doesn't seem to slide back. I did buy a fluffy girth sleeve to put on the front strap though, so that if it did slip, it wouldn't rub him :)

Should have said before by the way, I LOVE Andy, he is just gorgeous and looks so genuine :)
