but I want to get some magnetic boots for my old mare to wear in her stable. Any advice/suggestions please on make, fit etc. Would be really grateful.....

www.magnetic.uk.com - i have the magnetic straps from here, if you go to 'animals' on the left hand side it is the first item that comes up.

You can leave them on 24/7 and they dont make the horses legs sweat in the summer like boots can.

I think you can get a cheaper version on ebay, but not sure how the magnets compare to the ones used in these.

I use the NEW ones for exercise and box rest during the day. Wont use them at night as they dig in and cause ridges. They are one of very few that can be used during exercise.

I only need them for in the stable as she is not ridden as got a damaged hock.

Any advice on the stable wrap ones?

I got some on ebay... multi purpose wraps that do hocks, knees, legs etc... great value and seem to have helped, but dont stay put for long on hocks - ok to leave on for an hour or so while the horse is in / tied up, but wont stay up overnight or in field...

I used to just put it on while I was mucking out and grooming etc and i'm fairly sure it was doing something as the magnets on the bad leg one felt warm after use and the good leg didnt (even though there was no noticble heat in the bad leg...)

Really? - that is interesting about them going warm.

I am just kinda hoping it will go some way to helping with this damaged hock as i have so far not heard one negative report on this type of thing.

Thanks for your advice all. I am gonna start surfing now for a set and I think will be a lot cheaper in ling run than buying tubs of very expensive MSM!!

I have just got another set of the Magnetik Veredus ones. I really like them because they are so supportive. I use them as stable bandages because they are so easy to put on and take off. Not sure how much effect these magnets have, but they seem to reduce my horses windgalls.
