Magnetic headpieces

Does anyone know what strength and how many magnets are used in these?
We want to try one but don't want to fork out masses of money if its not going to work and would rather make one to try first.

Mine is magnetic all the way along - tested it with another magent.

I would imagine it is one long thin strip of magnetic material

I find it works brilliantly - others don't!

I had a Barnsby one - unfortunately it rubbed my horse behind the ears no counter productive! Maybe better to have a specificallky made bridle headpiece.

The Barnsby ones are a thin magnetic strip, not lots of little magnets.....

Thanks, if it a magnetic strip it won't be as easy to make then!! Perhaps borrowing one would be a better idea!
