Hi All

Just wondered if any uses them, if so what make??
Do you use them in the field, stable, both or just when your around??

My old boys arthritis is playing up rotton in this cold weather (together witht he fact he thinks he's only 2 playing with anyone and everyone who will take notice in the field

) so was wondering if these actually worked and do they stay on??

Many thanks in advance

I think they are best left on while they are stabled - wouldn't turn them out in them myself! If you look on fmbs.co.uk they do some that you can put on their hocks (they have a hole in for the point of hock). Hope this helps x

I have them for my boy who has a capped hock and both of his hocks are clicky but are not arthritic (xrays confirmed). I usually put them on when I am mucking out and he stands outside eating a haynet. I have also put them on when he is in his stable prior to exercise. He is definitely less clicky and the swelling goes down around the affected hock.

He gets a bit funny after wearing them for about an hour - but then he hates things on his legs (brushing boots, travel boots etc)

I am an agent for equimagnets so have those ones, but as Joey1999 there are fmb ones and a whole load of other makes.

I won a FMBS hock wrap in a competition recently, it seems like a good idea but I can't seem to get it to stay on overnight and usually find it under my horses foot the next morning, so have now resulted in just using it when tied up and standing still!!

I use an equimagnet hock wrap, it has to be on pretty tight but I've figured out how to keep it on! Horse wears it every night but i don't know if it does anything to be honest!

I use equilibrium magnetic wraps when my horse is stabled at night. I have the magnets positioned close to his lower hock joint, where he has confirmed bone spavin. They also help with filled legs and mud fever.
