My gelding has an idiopathic bog spavin, he's had thorough veterinary examinations and x rays and has no issues with lameness. I've been looking at different brands of magnetic hock boots, I thought equine magnetix looked quite good as had 3 straps to help hold in place but there are limited reviews. I have also read in previous threads that premier equine, the other brand I was interested in, can slip. However, any reviews on any brands would be greatly appreciate!

I have also looked at the ice vibe boots, although a little bit more pricey, I'd love to hear if anyone has had any previous experience of them working well on similar fluidy hock swellings or even windgalls :)

It would be brilliant if I can do something to help reduce the fluid as I don't want to go down the route of injecting steriods as he's only young.

We used the Icevibe hock boots to great effect on a horse with more problems than you could shake a stick at. He got them on before exercise, after and again later in the afternoon. They kept him able to gallop and race. They are definitely worth the money.
