Magnetic/Massage Therapy! HELP!

So guys I have been looking at the range of magnetic/massage rugs available particularly the Equilibrium Therapy Massage Pad

What is the thinking behind these rugs what specifically do they do I don't understand?

Any help or suggestions would be great please?

I've got the Equilibrium massage pad and love it. I'll try and find the picture of my boy who I'd never really seen relaxed before I got mine and with it on, his lower lip nearly touches the floor and he almost falls asleep!
The idea is to loosen up the muscles before/after work and it works really well; my boy used to be cold-backed and this has pretty much sorted it.

I have the Premier Equine magnetic rug, its really good and high quality. Use it on my kissing spines mare before and after work when its colder. She seems to like it.

I made my own Magnetic rug, it's been brilliant and I can move the pads to where I need them.

I just sew a few Velcro strips in an old rug
