veredus magnetic stable boots - you can get them from Derbyhouse - FAB! I've had mine for ages (about 5yrs) and they are as good as new!) HIGHLY recommended!

I can also highly recommend the Veredus (you can also get them at Frogpool Manor).... only thing is that the outer layer does wear through and get holes in (especially around the fetlock area).... but as they have lovely soft comfy quilts inside it isn't a problem

I use thin straps from Magnetic - magnetic.co.uk.

Cairo has worn them for over a year now constantly and they appear to do something for his joints - he is fairly sound and moves better for having them.

When removed he goes very pottery - can't explain it, Puddicat has given me detailed scientific facts, but there is something in them for him.

Armadillo straps are good and Veredus magentic stable boots do work BUT:

They leave an inprint on your horses legs which is unsightly and got me marked down in a showing show! It has taken a full coat shed and re-grow to disappear even after removing the inner pads which are what cause it ... my friends warmblood is the same, she has horrible horizontal lines all down her legs.

And my horse virtually destroyed his within 6 months and I have sewn them up sooo many times and even had to stitch material over them as they are only made of foam which although breathable, is not very robust!

Armadillo straps work just as well for my boy but I do miss the support the inner pads give on the veredus boots, they kind of do 2 things, provide support like a stable bandage and have the added benefit of magnetic therapy

I use the brushing boots from Bioflow and their good. They bring down my horses legs if he's stabled but I found the single magnets I got from EquiMagnets (Ebay) where the best, the brought my boys windgalls down but the brushing boots dont seem to.

The only issue with leaving them on for longish periods (i.e. overnight) should be the material that they are made of. For example, the brushing boot types lined with neoprene could make the horse sweat and then rub. They shouldnt, however, be used over any kind of open wound.

If you're intending them to be on overnight, you really need stable wraps. I use the aerborn ones and my only grumble with them is that everything will stick to them and they do go "tufty" after a lot of use. (They have been used almost daily for 2 years and frequently go in a cool wash though).

I was planning on replacing them with the veredus ones, but after what someone mentioned about the marks on the legs, Im not so sure anymore!

Does anyone know of any with a thermatex / thermalux inner lining but a more durable (cordura perhaps) outer?
