my mare has a bit of trouble extending her hind legs- not day to day but she can be a bit difficult with the farrier. She has a history of azoturia and although she hasn't had it for years, i am always anxious about her muscles across her hind quarters. She's 13 and the farrier says it is a cob thing. She's brill to ride but i was just wondering if something magnetic would help her? Our five year old is not stiff behind but wears the outside of his feet more and the farrier says that when he is older he may have issues extending his hind legs like the mare as he has cob conformation behind. Anyway, would magnets help the mare now/help the young horse long term and which one? I've seen a magnetic rug and the equilibrium back pad. The mare is a lot more flexible when she has been ridden...not sure if that's relevant but thought I should add it!

i dod have magnetic rug on mine under her turnout - i made it myself to save money just bought the kit from equimagnets and stictched each one where i wanted them into a fleece rug.
I also have bioflow boots on my mare - hinds during day to help arthritis and fronts at night to help navicular!! -
they do help to keep her more flexible and less stiff. its worth a go they can do no harm!

I have the bioflow boots for my arthritic horse, they do help. However, I'd recommend the wraps over the boots as the boots are neoprene and make the legs very hot and sweaty after a couple of hours.
