For all those lovely folk who kept their fingers crossed last night - she's looking much better this morning, they're going to give her some lunch later and see how she copes with food and if it goes through. If she's ok, she'll be home tomorrow :)

She's still bloated and gassy, don't know why. One revelation has been that my mother neglected to worm them six months ago - should have been done with either Pramox or Equitape. Guess what - vet is testing blood for tapeworm this morning. That goes to show two things - never neglect your worming routine, and never trust my mother! I hope it's not tapeworm, but that would explain her loss of condition, I assume.

Ah well. Point is, she's looking ok and thanks for all the lovely support :)

Still no idea if that's the cause, but she's had some grass and gone rapidly downhill again, surgeon wants to have a look inside but is 'scoping her first to see if her choke is related.

I'm supposed to be going away on holiday tomorrow :(

She's out :) and awake. Surgeon put a bit of colon back where it belonged and reckons it was there a while - very surprised this is her first colic in the last year.

Her liver is in bad condition and she keeps getting blood clots, so she's still not too good but he was very pleased indeed about how well the op went.

So more crossing of fingers required, to ensure she makes it through the night!

Thanks for the support, you've all been fab :)

Everything still crossed...pleased to hear she has made it through the surgery.

Come on Maiden, you can do it!
